“Witness”

 

I have seen an angel in my life,

I have also seen an evil being as well,

But I do not believe in the devil,

We ourselves have the choice,

To do that which is right or wrong,

We ourselves are our own devil,

We ourselves are our own salvation,

I do not deny, that there are guides,

As I have seen both with thy eyes of flesh,

And I’ve witness the great Guardian,

With thy eyes of thy soul,

Keeper of the Gates, Guardian of the Tree,

How humble I was, and will always be,

Unable to pierce the Light, I covered thy eyes,

What is beyond, I do not know, or proclaim,

I only know that something else exist,

Far greater than the scope of our consciousness,

Beyond the world of that which we know,

Above that where reason and wisdom is even held,

For now I am of the flesh, for now I am weak,

But never will I deny the First One,

As the One has given us all signs to know,

Yet we cover our eyes, and blinded we remain,

I have witnessed what I am allowed,

But mortals will not hear, as ignorance is their love.
