“A Human Thought”

 

We have feelings to the extreme,

That’s what makes us human,

We also have feelings deep, and centered,

That too makes us human,

To the outsiders, we’re a tad insane,

As some choose not to find their heart of soul,

And have embraced the mechanical machine mind,

I understand… like some, how much you all truly care,

We are young, infants in the eyes of those near and far,

And we Too! Are very, very old… in being,

We have hope, that today is the day of awakening for all,

So that we as mankind may start a new path of being,

A journey within ourselves, thus allowing for greater journeys outside,

But I worry not about it, but enjoy being in the now,

And when I am centered within, I am the happiest of all,

And when I explore thy world around, I am thrilled the most,

How appreciative… I am of life, a beauty… we are honored to have and to behold,

I do understand why we are a menace to ourselves at times,

And I understand why we can be feared when visited upon,

Know this, we are dreamers, explorers, believers, we love, fear and have hope,

Freedom is at our core, and it will always ring through,

We are humans, please have hope & faith in us,

For we ourselves trust that we will find our way through,

Though we can’t control every thought, or deed,

It’s the good we truly want & seek, the joy, love, happiness & peace,

We do… have so much to offer you, the universe & beyond.
